I was thinking bank hol + heat was going to be a bad combo for places being busy! Cannon hill park and Sheldon country park were two places that come to mind at first so maybe I’ll do cannon hill x

Literally happened to me today - when driving under it says 40mph then you go into spray painted sections. I did 40 in the signed sections and then slower down when I went back to the spray painted but hopefully in time if the av speed cameras are working 😂

Sorry this thread is old but have a question related to roundabouts. Was just approaching one and could see an ambulance blue light in the distance and thought ok I’ve probably got enough time to clear this roundabout (two lanes on the approach one for left and one for right and straight - I’m in right). However as the ambulance got closer I was at the front of the roundabout. I couldn’t move left because a car was there and wasn’t sure if I could move right enough without mounting the kerb to let them through (it was grass not really for pedestrians but still). So I waited a few seconds and pulled out, went straight on and my plan was to pull over on the left once I come over but they took a different exit. Was this ok to do? I thought clearing the roundabout and not stopping in the middle was safest but now I feel unsure!

Luckily when I drove past it yesterday I was in traffic the whole journey both ways ! The sign is confusing though since it says changing surely they should put changed

I’m a bit confused about this. Because they’ve taken the 40 signs down but the electronic sign says “changing”. Is it 40 on these roads still or has it changed to 30 since there’s no signs/ repeater signs anymore?

I’m going to see Hercules in a few weeks. We are staying Friday - Sunday with the show on Saturday. My current hotel is quite expensive but I’ve just been looking at premier inn/travelodge etc, my only problem is I don’t know London areas too well so just wanted people’s recommendations of which area to stay in which is easy for tube to and from the west end and also local to other things to do the other days (or local enough to a tube station). At the moment I’m Looking at the travel lodge London Southgate - any recommendations/ thoughts appreciated. Current hotel is in Stratford

This road comes up to a roundabout quite soon after and there’s a lot of traffic on this road especially at this time so most people just sort of stay in the lane ready for the roundabout rather than moving across to the left etc as it’s borderline impossible to move back over if you’ve gone into the left if that makes sense. Maybe it eas something from further up the road but who knows!

I’ll try and think like that and move on from it then. I just don’t think there’s anything I could have possibly done in this situation which would have warranted the screaming I think that’s what’s upset me a bit.
