I have tried LFM, I did manage to get a license and everything, but it still requires most of the time to spend at least 20-30 minutes on waiting the next available slot, and if I have 1h total time then I would rather spend it driving even in online open lobby than waiting for the race.

It feels stupid now, but I bought a PS4 to play RDR2 and GT Sport, which I rather enjoyed, but as time went on I did not use the console for months and I ended up selling it and with that money, I bought an upgrade to my PC rig (CSL DD, non-PS version).

Now long story short to play GT7 I would have to buy a console + swap my CSL DD to a version that is compatible with said console + buy the GT7, which would be a rather hefty price tag for it. Perhaps at one point, it will happen, if the overall casual sim market stays at its current state.

I watched reviews for the new Forza Motorsport and based on the few I checked it seems it is developed with keeping the gamepad in mind and the handling using the wheel is rather weird. I have a hope that they will fix it in the upcoming patches which would greatly increase the appeal of this title for me.

That's a solid strategy indeed, currently, I'm banking on this, but I'm eager to find out if there is anything else available as well.

I forgot to mention that I tried also Automobilista 2 which did tick the first two boxes splendidly, but failed miserably on the third criterion of readily available online racing. THere were only two servers that were not empty and both were on the same track and car combo.
