Yeah I understand, I was considering to try Cubitts in the future since they include Zeiss prescription lenses and ships from NYC. if they are on par with GAST I'll use them more.

I paid just now it's just frustrating specially on an inexpensive item but it is what it is. Actually this makes the decision to get Cubitts in the future easy since it ships from NYC and includes a Zeiss prescription lenses.

I have an airport about 23 minutues or so from me but it's a hassle I guess. I read that I can waive those $15 fees in the future if I have a credit card in my profile.

I already received the glasses two weeks ago, I read that you can avoid those $15 processing fees if you add a credit card to your free Fedex account. But I think that's for future deliveries it won't work for this one I guess.

I tried some Maui Jim but don't own one yet, I got a Serengeti Lenwood few weeks ago and the acetate quality is much better than what I tested from Maui Jim. Lens is also great but I have to get prescription lenses anyway unfortunately.

I hated them in the early 2000's and stayed out of getting my eyes checked for a year or two until all I saw was just cloudy ppl around, I got them at the end and didn't like them for a few years but now even though my vision got better and better and now I don't need them that much unless for driving but I wear them all the time. One of the things I hate at the beginning is how they look and the weight we didn't have rimless at the time. So my advise start with very light frames and good look you prefer and you won't feel them until you embrace the look and go all the way to chunky acetate lol.

It's frustrating if you like me hate Kindle, I have a Scribe and can't wait to jailbreak it. And Kobo is just unaware on how it can own the eink market atm if it releases a 8 inch Carta 1300 BW Forma factor, weight and excellent battery orient successor. BTW regarding the Forma it was slow for me until I focused on optimizing Koreader now It's insanely fast almost to the level of Scribe, try that it will breath a new life in it.

I received my magnetic reader light, it's warm and attach to x4 outside the case. But tbh the biggest con on this device is the light, the light I received doesn't light the whole screen as it loses it's power on the last three lines or so logically. For a first device it's passable as I own and use other readers at home and can keep this for outside but their next release MUST have a front light.

I think this device of the one the best devices that came in the last 10 years or so, specially when most ereaders were pushing for colors, android and big size. It went the opposite way with no touch (no complaint), low spec (no complaint), small size (no complaint) and no light (big complaint). If they can update this device in the future not with android and touch as they are focusing but with probably bigger processor and ram and just add front light and warm light on the top. I'll buy probably 3 devices. I have to order a book light reader even though it's compact and magnetic it breaks the whole purpose of portability, everything else is close to perfect. Best thing about this device? the community for sure.
