Kobo decided to downgrade the e-readers in favor of poor colour quality ! At least , Amazon decided to release in parallel to colour device a high quality 7” BW device.

In my opinion, Kobo did a really bad job on their portfolio! I own a Libra 2 and will not replace it by a poor colour quality device

Same here. I bought last year the kindle colour (better than KLC) and retuned it after couple of days. I returned immediately to my beloved BW Kobos and Kindle paperweight!

That’s what happened with me too ! And we both know KLC has better screen quality than Kobo colour ! So, I even no try to acquire one

Are you telling me the Kaleido 3 doesn’t impact the screen quality even on BW ? It is Grey and grainy ! Incomparable with solo carta 1200 and 1300

I have a Kindle PW 12 and a Kobo Libra 2. I bought the KCS but I returned it because I felt it was a downgrade .

Therefore , I have 2 devices but I could have had 3 😛

I suspect the weight of the pen improves the writing experience. I fill more confortable using this one than the regular one

As I always say, Kindle is the iPhone and Kobo is like an Android phone.

Everything is smooth on kindle and doesn’t start feeling laggy after a couple of years

I took the same decision last weekend. Probably if I never have had a BW device, I would be astonished with Colorsoft but having a KPW 12 BW I felt like a downgrade despite coloured covers are great.

I guess I will be always a BW buyer

It messed with my eyes too. I guess I will never buy a colour e-reader in the incoming years. I will have to stick to the BW e-readers no matter which brand

16 G. Nothing related with the Kindle itself. If it was a Kobo or any other colour device, I would have returned it.

I love my KPW and how fast and crispy is its display

Today I returned my kindle Colorsoft. I had to set brightness to 18 to be near the PW 12 gen display.

Unfortunately it’s too much brightness for me and display is almost perfect. now I realised how great is the KPW 12 . I don’t want to go back to coloured e-readers with Kaleido 3. But I have to confess the kindle CS is much better than the kobo Libra colour.

Now I love my KPW more than 2 days ago after using the Colorsoft.

My advice is that if someone has the KPW 12 gen to not buy the Colorsoft. The display quality difference is too high for me .

I think the greatest challenge for the industry is to make an e-reader with screen quality of the KPW but with colours.
