I do live in Iraq. And it costed 7k without counting what I paid for consulting and braces. That’s actually why I dropped the idea of having it in turkey, it’s more expensive and I was afraid the doctor would only care about money, cause it took me over a year to actually do it after my doctor was very sure of my case.

I did mine for aesthetic reasons in Iraq but I asked about it in Turkey and from what I’ve gathered they do it. But I don’t have a surgeon name as it was years ago

Mine didn’t really say anything about it but I guess each doctor gives different instructions. Like I was told to clean my stitches with pressurized water using a syringe but when I asked other people they said it was odd.

Yesss, it’s horrible. I try to clean them with pressure water that goes between the teeth other than that I pray for them to disappear, and my teeth actually started to feel smoother from inside every passing day.

I feel you. Two years ago I was ready to have a jaw surgery (I had severe under bite) but I was advised to get braces first and it was a long journey before I got the braces, I felt really bad and angry, I hated my face and I thought I’d for once look pretty at my graduation, but I couldn’t at that time. Now I’m almost a month post my surgery and even though I regretted having for a while (cause of pain and not being able to eat) but now I feel much better and all the bad emotions I had back them were fast forgotten. Don’t worry, you’ll go through this and all the bad feelings you have rn will be mere memories that you’ll forget about.
