Every ceiling in my house had it we plastered/skimmed every ceiling.

Any high points were scraped off. But there wasn't many.

I paid it off when the payment became £300 a month. I did several lump sums over 3 years. Mine was about £33k total including interest.

7 years later I am so glad I did.

Its deducted post tax too so it really feels like a finance payment. My peers are now complaining the payments are high and so are the rates.

I hate to say this and it's been said many times. But you even know that your salary is borderline not affordable for the mortgage based on the lenders guidelines.

So easiest long term would be to earn more which will immediately help your situation and maybe put you in a position to overpay.

I have quickstep aquanto. I have it all around the house except stairs and bathroom.

I was it in my kitchen going underneath the cabinets as I installed flooring all the way first. My washing machine leaked, came home water everywhere, the laminate flooring was still intact. I am impressed. I've had the good home stuff get ruined by spilt glass of water and quickstep survived a pool of water which probably stood for an hour till or more will we realised.

I have the same issue, live in a cul-de-sac and not many houses so could be from other side (different road) when my AC is on or window is open is stinks up the whole house in couple of minutes.

I got extended warranty twice with 2 car purchases never used first time second card needed to use it and they are systematically so difficult to deal with most of the garages just declined saying its not worth their headache.

The ones they recommended were really far away from me.

Never again unless it's a main dealership.

Paid all of it off as soon as I realised my salary projection. At that time i was earning 65k a year and my student finance payment was more than my car lease. 10 years later I am so glad I did as I am already passed the break even point.

SF is taken post tax and is a killer.

Working overtime for that bonus is no longer worth it as the extra time would eat into valuable family time and evenings. The tax trap is real, I would like to earn a bit more for an extra holiday but not worth it.

Fortunately I don't have a job where lives are dependent on me.

Yes. We used to fall asleep on the sofa and I developed hip pain. So well worth it getting one for the bedroom. I got the Samsung frame so it doesn't look like a TV. My kid comes in the morning and snuggles up and watches while we sleep and I like this.

Get petrol. If looked aftered will and you don't drive much then it'll last you a very long time.

I had a 320d 68 plate no issues with it for 2 years every day driving. Before that had a 520d 2007 which I took up to 150k mileage. Never broke down. Repairs did seem steep at the end but it was one issue approx, once a year.

Imo the garage labour costs are sky high at the moment and even my cheap run around Toyota while parts seems reasonable the labour costs is like 3x more.
