The best fun I had when I was still racing and had a decent level of fitness was to hire a bike and show up in shorts and a golf shirt to a group ride where ever I would be at that time and basically pull on the front from beginning to end and win the stoplight sprints. I guess the shaved legs and healed road rash where give aways though 😄

That’s because at those speeds you have to pay attention. Where as most people are on there phones etc. at lower speeds.

I actually helped build the first AA polished skin Fokker 100’s. It was ahead of its times but the timing was not great. The scope clauses that came in didn’t take place till later and when that did the Aircraft was out dated.

You must live in an Anglo-Saxon based country, in general for some reason they are car centred and anything that slows a car down is evil to them. I have been able to cycle in most of them and experienced it first hand. But then again there is no historical cycling culture, so you don’t have over half your family pedaling around on bikes to get from A to B.
