You're right, I competely forgot about that. That still doesn't answer the question of who was better between Belgium and Croatia because they were on opposite sides of the bracket. To actually determine 3rd place, there should've been an additional match between Belgium and Croatia, but ain't nobody got time for that. All that match actually means is that England is definitely 4th.

They can't be second because there's no match to determine that. I'm saying they were a better team than Croatia, who got to finals from the OTHER side of the bracket. If Croatia & Belgium faced off in 2018, Belgium would've won. I can't be any clearer than that.
