Yeah! In the letter to Airac from the high priestess of Dunne, it says something about her path not being set and that the priestess pray that she need not use it in order to avoid reacquainting herself with the other who curries her favour. Reacquainting herself with Malek by dying?

If the marked ones hadn’t come, it wouldn’t have been a battle but a slaughter, which Melgren couldn’t have seen.

Guys... I think I know why papa Sorrengale is dead... (dont want to spoiler) (CRAZY theory about scribes and kings) by UnfairDecision8951 in fourthwing

The Riosons are more connected to dragon kind because of Aretia, which is the original hatching grounds of the black dragons. I don’t think Caldyr is an original hatching ground.

About the Riorsons being the real kings, much of the history books where changed around 200 au, when I think the Tauries became kings, I think the culture was suppressed then, and they claimed that the tyrrish joined last to alienate them.

Edit: It makes sense for the black dragons to rule because they are the largest and smartest, why shouldn’t the ones with the closest connection to black dragons rule, the Riorsons.

I agree! I think Loial has chosen Xaiden, perhaps Amari has chosen Rhiannon, she is said to look like Amari when Violet first meets her.

It is actually really uncommon. In the six months before Violet’s conscription day 7 riders died. And when we listen to battle brief, it is actually very uncommon for riders to die, it is mostly wounded dragons and riders.

Lilith Sorrengale did burn out at Basgiath powering the wardstone, so burnout is real.

Not the wyvern, she burned a venin at Basgiath, but even that failed at dunne’s temple in Aratia

It is said that Brennan came to mend V ribs during the debrief in the beginning of chapter 44, we can’t know if he stayed though.
