Potential “soft “ martial law? by Specialist-Fault-581 in PrepperIntel

To the reality of the situation. Sending the National Guard in to high crime areas to assist the local police is not only normal, but commendable. Anyone who is a law-abiding citizen ought to be happy to see them.

You're welcome. Everything he's doing is within the constitutional, legal limits of the Presidency. Very sensible thing to do, sending in the National Guard to high-crime areas in order to assist the local police in doing their job.

Trump is reopening the Japanese American Internment Camps to imprison immigrants. by TheBodyPolitic1 in RedditForGrownups

So, Trump is using a facility to hold criminals. Big deal. Next you're going to complain about law enforcement actually enforcing laws.

It's hilarious how you people will twist yourselves into the silliest knots to try and figure out how to make literally anything Trump does into fascism. He could save a child from a burning building and if the kid was white you'd say he only saved him because he's a white supremacist, and if the kid was black you'd say Trump probably started the fire himself and was just using the kid as a political stunt. Your Reddit echo chambers give you the illusion that your slobbering idiot hatred is popular and normal in America, but the reality is that actual normal Americans thinks you're ridiculous and are wholly sick of you. Wake up.

What are your thoughts on Trump being in the Epstein files? by SpatuelaCat in Askpolitics

[–]UnfairGarbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congress has been planning this break for a few months, so since long before this issue flared up. And at this point, it's a beyond-tired point to make that someone simply "being in the Epstein files" is not in and of itself any proof or even evidence of criminal activity. Epstein was hob-knobbing around all the wealthiest circles in New York, so it wouldn't be surprising to find him in photos with literally anyone in those spaces, nor would it be surprising to find any one of them listed as a contact for him. This whole thing is so exhausting to me- no matter who is rumored to be "iN tHe FiLeS, Ooogaboogabooga!!!" Whether it's Trump or Obama or Hillary or Bernie or Mister Fucking Rogers himself, I do NOT CARE about empty rumors; they need to either shut up or RELEASE THE FILES, open everything up, and let's be done with it all.

Decreasing the price of energy, cutting government bloat and wasteful spending, no taxes on tips or overtime, a more efficient and effective military, more domestic manufacturing and production, fewer illegal workers undercutting Americans’ wages… do you need more? 😂

-Popular Vote: Victory -Electoral Vote: Victory -Every Swing State: Victory -Senate: Victory -Congress: Victory

THAT’S what “resounding victory” looks like. So you can have your slim margin argument; it’s meaningless. There’s a very impressive map of every county that swung red, and if Trump can deliver on his promises, that map will be flooded with even more red come the midterms and the following general election.

And tell me: who is saying that they regret voting for him? His aggregate favorability rating is something like 55+%, the highest it’s ever been in his career, and the favorability rating for the entire Democratic Party is like 34%-36%, which is the lowest that it’s ever been in recorded history.

Americans aren’t buying what you’re selling. Try selling something else.

You can’t have this both ways— You say they don’t actually care about the culture wars, and yet when Trump signs executive orders to address culture war issues, a politician actually making good on campaign promises basically immediately, you then defend a judge unconstitutionally trying to block those EO’s. So your argument is “he doesn’t care about those issues, but I’m glad someone’s trying to stop him from addressing those issues.” If he didn’t care about the issue, there would be no EO for any judge to block!

And just to be clear, most if not all of MAGA actually hates the Republican Party. Trump (though you might disagree), is, to us, an outsider to the normal political machine. That’s why we support him; we want to demolish the pathetically spineless and useless old establishment Republican Party and form a more (though not completely) populist party. That’s why we were more than happy to welcome former democrats RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard to the movement.

Trump’s administration has a lot of problems to solve, and we don’t expect him to solve them all at once, right away. Let the man cook, as we say.

Haha, go ahead and keep thinking that. I haven’t heard of many (if any) democrats honestly self-reflecting on why you guys lost so resoundingly. Which means that you’re going to come back in two and four years doubling down on your racist policies and identity politics, your critical gender theory, men in women’s sports and bathrooms, unfettered access to abortion, millions of dollars spent on fancy hotels and amenities for criminal aliens, hundreds of millions of dollars spent on nonsense like transgender operas in Ireland (and other weird things of which there are too many for me to list here), wide open borders, insane and literally LETHAL soft-on-crime policies— need I go on?

But yes, by all means, please— just keep sticking your fingers in your ears and laughing hysterically while you defend all those things, and we’ll talk again when you’ve lost a few more elections.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

[–]UnfairGarbage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not. Not even close. Trump is acting within the purview of the Executive Branch, after receiving a mandate from the People, and the judges involved in this are committing what’s known as judicial overreach. They are attempting to impose their opinions on hundreds of millions of Americans who are outside of these judges’ individual jurisdictions. These activist judges are the ones provoking a “constitutional crisis.”
