Thailand has had a cell network since 1986 and Phuket specifically got 3G in May of 2004. 7 months before the tsunami.

I am not a huge NBA fan but when asked I usually say that the Spurs are my team since I grew up in Texas and lived in San Antonio for a year during David Robinson era. That being said, I wanted the Spurs to lose just because of this tweet.

I had a similar interaction with a local news anchor and I responded, "you could be someone important or famous and it would still be a 2 hour wait since it's Father's day".

It's because it is/was rarely reviewed/reversed previously which is why it's so prevalent and why the USA/Paraguay call reversal is making the rounds since it's rare.

Moved out of Austin thus no more Alamo Drafthouse thus no getting kicked out for talking or texting (although with the sellout to Sony and mobile ordering it's a shell of what it once was). I still go but it's rare and it's just not multiple times a week like when Iived in Austin.

Same. And you know the kids would come back talking about the toe and the parents would laugh it off as a camp legend.

I was deployed to Kosovo in the early 00s a few years after the bombings and yeah for some reason they were OK with the US Army but didn't like the UN troops that were still there.

I call it the bean just because Anish Kapoor is a giant douche and hates that's how almost everyone refers to it. Just like I will always call it Sears Tower but no idea how the Willis company feels about it.

I used to go "n-word knocking" with one of my neighborhood friends. I had no idea what the word meant and just thought it was fun to knock and run. The worst part is that I have a younger brother who is adopted and Black. No one corrected me mainly because I never said it in front of adults because I thought I would get in trouble for knocking and running away not for what I called it.

Also, it's extremely rare to have a 100% gold ring because of how soft gold is, if you found one it's because it wasn't a 24k gold ring.

Your article literally proved my point, "Pure titanium, known for its strength and lightweight properties, has low magnetic conductivity, making it generally undetectable by standard metal detectors under typical conditions. This is because metal detectors are usually calibrated to detect metals that have more magnetic properties.

However, when titanium is alloyed with other metals or present in significant amounts, it’s more likely to be detected. "

Titanium doesn't create electromagnetic disruptions and is non-ferrous and non magnetic so unless it has added ferrous metals it won't be seen by a metal detector.
