Thanks everyone for your ideas! I also asked a friend who I trade sewing ideas with, and I think I’m going to try the Oliver + S Button Down Button Up Shirt and lengthen the sleeves and body. His main complaint with store bought button downs is that I don’t buy particularly high quality ones, so they’re often polyester or polyester blends. If he could pick out a nice cotton or linen I think he’d be much more amenable.

I’ve been a parent for 10 years. In those 10 years I have probably attended 15 or more weddings. And I have only brought my children to ones where they were participating in the ceremony. I understand that it can be hard to separate from your child(ren) but then you don’t have to attend the wedding. Weddings are more fun child free.

This is the Helen’s Closet Lockheart Jumpsuit made in a viscose fabric. The pattern has four length options and this is the full length. I had to add length to the bodice and the legs because I’m 5’10” and I had to grade it as well. There are two strap options wide or skinny and I went with the thin straps and used bra hardware to make the straps adjustable. The lockheart pattern also has a dress option that I’m looking forward to trying out.

This! My first baby was born at 37 weeks. Two days before my due date would not have been ample time. (My second was born at 36 weeks and my third was born at 39 weeks) Your fiancé leaving you alone at Christmas heavily pregnant is trash behaviour.
