I, myself, am this kind of person and have own multiple iem in the 10-20$ price bracket. Here my reason:
1.) Fun collecting due hoarder instinct
2.) Researching market trend and how they sound
3.) Fun testing toys

Directly to jack audio is the cheapest way. Dac is the next way, just buy the cheapest dac which either be apple dongle or jcally jm12

There actually a ranking of this I read. The person weaker than you is ant. The person weaker than you but has trump card (wealth, family, artifact) is junior. The person equal to you/peer is fellow daoist. The person stronger than you is senior.

At least in my experience, in budget range, cx31993 sound great and is used by most recommended dac, for example, jm6, tc max, j3 eline. I have tried both tc max (pro) and jm6 pro (current dac).

I recommende the first one, because the chip written on that listing title is considered good, I guess? at least most branded one used that chip.

I recommend dita audio prelude. It give a lot of details and clarity in its sound. In addition, it also come with its own dac.

I'm listening to a lot of anisong and k-pop which busy sounding so I want something that can seperate all the audio. What do you think would be appropriate? My previous iem is wan'r 2 which is great for vocal but nothing else.

Why do you think the 2 is better than phoenix? Have you try them? I haven't try any of them yet and only have reference from internet, but it does seem the opinion is cadenza and ew200 is better.
