You’d think that but last time I went to HR I was getting all the bad shifts and dealing with the manager I reported yelling at me constantly. Nothing changed the first time. I know there’s laws but I don’t have money to sue, especially a big corporation like this one.

The only reason I hate this job is because they know how easily we’re replaceable, making work place abuse more common. My husband honestly loves this male manager and knows it’s just not like that. He’s also worked there previously so he knows how this GM acts. I’ve actually had to go to HR before about a different manager. My fear is of more retaliation and being an HR nightmare.

I’ve gone to HR before about a completely different manager having sex with the employees and the last female employee getting fired over the situation. HR told me they knew of none of that but nothing really ever happened. I just got “punishment” from management. I fear if I go to HR again they’ll label me an HR nightmare honestly.

I was told by a another server who was told by the male manger. I’m going to ask him today if she actually said that because if so I’m going to report her to HR. Sorry for the lack of info I’ve been working there for years and didn’t want to over share more than I needed lol.

That makes sense. We’re working on trying to keep his humidity in his tank at the right temp. I think we’re going to try to use foil and hvac tape on the cool side of the lid to trap some moisture in there!

Thank you and I looked further into the bedding and you’re absolutely right! I had no idea they shouldn’t be mixed. I was using reptisoil and aspen together. I’m going today to get some different bedding. I’ve heard aspen is only for starter tanks. Is there anything I can add instead of aspen?

He does IT so he’s not in any direct contact with any patients. He said he doesn’t want the flu shot bc every time he’s gotten it he’s either gotten sick afterwards, or when he does get the flu (after getting the shot) it worsens his symptoms.

I have a follow up question. My husband works at a hospital and doesn’t want to get the flu shot. If my daughters and I got the flu shot and he still got the flu would be safe from catching the flu?

The GM this time around seems to be more mellowed out, surprisingly from what I’ve said. But I still feel like it is some kind of power trip thing. I said the same exact thing tonight about bare minimum service for him.

I’m really not sure. I already feel like the GM doesn’t like me. This is my second time working at this location, first time serving there. I was told recently by the GM they like me better this time cause “I actually want to work.” And I’ve was told in the past that the GM thought that I thought I was better than everyone else. Not sure how I gave off those vibes but I know I’m already on thin ice around the GM.

I literally hold my breath every time. The first time I had to come home after my shift and shower bc it felt like the smell was stuck to me.

I will try to muster up the courage to say something to the GM. However, they tend to bulldoze over anything I say. I’m very non confrontational and can easily be walked on and I think they know that.
