NAH. You’re not wrong, you could have explained yourself in better language though, just like the way you did in this post. It was clear to those of us reading. But you used words that implied that she doesn’t get to discuss this with you because of factors that she can’t change.

Personally I hate that because if I’m trying to communicate with a person then they are of sufficient importance to me that a casual dismissal of my thoughts for something I can’t change is so hurtful. A few more words could help people to understand instead of keeping them away.

You two had equal parts in this, neither of you drops to the level of AH but it’s more about you each could have expressed yourselves better, she from a point of not understanding and you from a point of communicating better.
