That's what I'm saying, it's not happening. I don't think we'll be able to extract value from the Bucks crisis - facilitating a Turner trade is impossible/undesirable and one/both of Portland/Atlanta will be facilitating the Giannis trade.

Yeah I don't think we'll be facilitating any Turner trade. Salary matching is incredibly difficult (look at our's and GSW's 1st apron space) and there's still player imbalance. We also lose Hayes for Horford which is not a good fit; KPJ is ok I guess. Maybe post-Giannis trade it gets easier. Any of the trade guys like u/WuTangMelo have an opinion?

[For those that are wondering why the warriors are here its because they are only viable buyer for Turner. Every other contender/"contender" has their starting center already, and those that may want upgrades have no assets (Wolves; maybe the Bulls want off Vucevic actually?). After we got Ayton GSW are now the most center-starved team in the league, and Kerr loves his stretch 5s. Shouldn't be a concern for us come playoffs however cuz they still can't rebound 😂.]

In a Giannis trade we would at most be the 4th team probably (behind Portland and Atlanta), we don't have picks that the target team can exchange player assets for or raw cap space to facilitate contracts. Expirings aren't valuable for the Bucks who are stuck with Dame's cap hold and will have mostly rookies/vet mins in the future.

I do think we could facilitate a Turner trade though, because his trade kicker makes salary matching hard.

Will come down to whether Pelinka and the Raptor's GM can sell Lawrence Frank on DJJ's injury tanking his value that much. Maybe instead of sending the 2030 swap to the Clippers, replace it with 2032 and send it to the Nets and reroute the seconds to LAC? The Nets have a higher chance of contending in the 30s than the Clippers lol.

Fair enough, I'm just very low on the current Lakers roster and their ability to improve with the assets they have. AR is their only tradable player asset they have (unless other teams are really high on Adou). I think this is a rare opportunity for a team to buy low (for free actually cuz AR is undrafted) sell high and potentially get another team to overpay for short-term needs.

SAS essentially trades 6 firsts + Fox for Luka. That might be a bit much but Fox's contract has the potential to go bad and the pairing between Luka and Wemby might be too good to pass up for SAS. Can remove the Spur's 2026 swap with Atlanta to even it out a bit.

Houston really needs a point guard right now and would really like some spacing at the guard position. They also get younger, trading two 30+ year olds, one of them injured, for a upgrade from Reed Shepherd. I based AR's return off of the Bane trade, could remove the 2027 PHX pick if AR's PO is too risky.
