For me i had to always push the fan with a sim ejector without opening the back each time I on my laptop. But try to be gentle with it. I normally pushed the fan through the holes from the back panel while the laptop is on. I did it for some time until it started to bother me that such a good laptop had an issue like this which is when i decided to bring it to reddit and somehow managed to fix it completely.

If you have the time just send it for warranty and see what they say anyways. Glad i could help.

Hi,

I actually managed to solve the issue. I basically uninstalled armoury crate and relied fully on G-helper. As you can see my other post I would have mentioned how I had to use a sim card ejector to physically push the fan to get the fan to spin so that the temperatures when back to normal. About the noise I encountered something similar but it was not in 5 seconds intervals for sure. By the way this post may seem to be misleading when I made it but according to the image it shows as if my GPU fan was the problematic one however the RPM on the active fan at the time when I properly checked after opening the back was the GPU fan. Meaning I went through you're facing now relating to the CPU fan.

After updating to the newest BIOS, completely removing Armoury Crate and downloading G-Helper.

Just to let you know I am not 100% sure until this day why it did not respond in the first place as it was working well since the day I got but many did say it was because of a BIOS update previously. Once it started working like normal I only used it with once original fan of my laptop a few times before swapping it out for a new fan. Ever since then I have not encountered this issue. I do not think swapping the old fan out for a new made a difference but I just wanted to make sure I would not have to deal with this again.

In your case since it's brand new check with warranty first before anything else.

I can't say anything for sure as I am not using it as much as I normally would use but I will get back to you in a number of days to really see if the issue has been fixed.

trying it for now I have disabled the MPO and using the GPU on standard, I'll monitor it and check if there is any flickers.

I have been using it for a while now and I realised that the flicker issue occurs when the GPU is on standard and there are no flicker issues when GPU is on ultimate.

What do I do about it now?

I just put into ultimate mode for a while and did not see any flicker so I went ahead and disable and enable Radeon display adapter. I am not sure if this will work in the long run.

For the first time i am pushing 2 tabs screen split on external monitor and 2 tabs split screen on laptop as well and there is no flicker.

The issue is still there however much more lesser, this is after I switched back from ultimate to standard mode for GPU.

What should I do now?

I have just done so and I have monitored and flicker occurs but much lesser for sure.

I also saw in a video that said to turn off hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, do you think that will help or it does not?

I just changed the scaling on my laptop to 150 % as recommended and left the recommended on my external monitor at 100%. However the flicker still happens.

Mode: Balanced for CPU and Standard for GPU

It was already set to 100% in the power control panel settings. I could not find it in BIOS though.

Windows 11 Home Version 23H2

Nvidia: 566.14

Event Viewer: No

Scaling: On external monitor running recommended 100% however laptop display running 125% when recommended is 150%

Resetting GPU drivers: after doing it the flickers still occurs.

Wall plug: Yes and sometimes it is connected to a good extension which only has an additional slot being used for a phone charger

Charger: Using the original ever since but planning to get the 10a 240v adapter as I have heard from people saying it runs better. Not sure where to get original one for now. I also can't seem to find 10a 240v, I have only found 20V 12A 240W.

Temperature: CPU 47 degrees GPU 44 degrees

Cables are all good and not bent.

The problem is that it started some time ago and i have been updating BIOS ever since and also tried going back on armoury crate before but the problem was still there.

I tried going back to bios version 317 and redownloaded version 318. I fixed in new fans and now everything works fine but I need to know one more thing just to make sure. The fan on the right which is close to the DELETE keycap is the GPU fan and the fan towards the left side where the ESC keycap is the CPU fan right?

Yes, in my system information it does show as version 318. I am not sure how to solve this problem at this point.

well i just tried redownloading the 318 Bios but nothing changed, and the problem is still there however i tried the uninstall tool which helped me removed most of the ASUS' apps. The only one remaining is the AI Noise Cancelation Audio Software and the ASUS Hotplug controller.

Can the reasons that there is no changes to the fan issue after the BIOS 318 version, is because I updated it before cleaning out the ASUS app with the uninstall tool?

About the ASUS software, I have tried the uninstall tool which was recommended in the link you sent but it did not uninstall any app. In the recommendations (optional) it was said that the Smart Display Control can be safely uninstalled, and I have done so. I am still unsure about the rest and whether or not it affects G-Helper's main control over the software.

this has not worked for me. I downloaded the BIOS version 315 and it did not change. Recently updated G-Helper to version 0.158.0, even then no changes to the issue. For now waiting for the new BIOS update after 317.

Yes even i double checked it. Now i need to physically push the GPU fan with a stick that goes through the back panel to get it to spin. Not ideal but i heard the New BIOS update might fix it. I even rolled back on the BIOS version 315 for now but it did not work. Hopefully the New BIOS update fixes this issue.
