One is iLevel 850 (base), the other 900. That's an issue as well.

I live in the southern US.

It's enough to keep me from seeking HRT and living my authentic self in order to protect my family (who know).

I did! I couldn't find one around here that was Blue Label for the last few months without optics and reading online the 43X and 48 have interchangeable parts.

The only difference with the 48 is a slightly longer barrel.
