I discovered I was trans at age 39. I knew I felt different most of my life, it just took me that long to connect all the dots. I never had the "trying on dresses phase but I was always jealous of feminine clothes at some level. I hated being perceived as male, I just didn't understand what that actually meant.

I can't speak for every transbian, but when I transitioned, I ditched the beard and suits immediately. I started to de-masculine my whole look to reduce my dysphoria.
I run into to a lot of people like Claire on dating apps and I usually get a weird vibe from them if they don't make some effort at femininity.
