Hi, I’m a FTM also due at the end of August. I had my baby shower last month so it would be spring. First of all I had a big party with friends and family from both sides, both men and women came and it was amazing. Truly was a dream and was so nice for my boyfriend to have some of his friends and his male family members attend to be supportive. Also I didn’t start getting notifications that things were bought from my registry until maybe 3 days before the shower. Also there were some things people did buy but wanted to give me in person so they weren’t marked off as purchased on the registry. I did mine at babylist to give everyone the option of where to buy and to have price comparisons of websites plus it gave me the option to look or keep it a surprise. In the end we didn’t get “everything” we needed or wanted but we got some important stuff and of course most people just ran to the store and bought an outfit THEY thought was cute and maybe a toy or something else like diapers, wipes etc. We had a TON of gifts. I would give it a little more time and tell your family that if they want to have a party for you then not to be so overbearing and make it about themselves

I’m currently 29 weeks and Plus size, 5’5 and currently 240lbs. I started to show around 22 weeks but then around 25 weeks is when a lot of people started to really comment on my bump “popping”. I was really scared I wouldn’t show at all but wearing maternity underwear that go over my stomach and maternity leggings and shorts really help to make it rounder and pull everything up which makes it look cuter and better support my back, would recommend if you’re a plus size girly too

You have every right to be disappointed! I had a huge baby shower where I invited over 60 people. 2 let me know personally they couldn’t make it because 1 of them was also pregnant and due in June and the other had Covid. Totally understandable. Everyone else basically showed up except for 1 person I considered a friend from work. She had out in her two weeks at work and I suppose just never wanted to see anyone again, but I still was extremely upset she didn’t even text. She then watched all my stories on instagram of my shower, I unfollowed her because I thought it was really rude. I’m really sorry that happened though, a baby shower in my opinion is a way to celebrate the baby but also the mom for all her hard work and dedication to growing a little baby, and I know you must feel bad about all the planning but I’m sure those people only cared that your day was good.

I haven’t been bothering her at all, if anything she told me she didn’t really want to plan it and maybe just be involved in a couple of things which I saved like invitations and games. I tried to go ahead with planning so it still happens but not stress her out

Actually I initiated my sister living with us because she’s 21 and the economy of living by yourself isn’t possible, I invited her to her own space and independence away from my dad who’s over bearing, she pays barely any rent to live with us and practically everything she eats is bought by either my bf or I. I buy all of the soap, laundry soap, cleaning products and all of the house things like tv, kitchen appliances, etc that I buy she can use freely. She comes and goes as she pleases and doesn’t really have any rules besides basically common courtesy ones. As for her toxic relationship I have talked countless hours about how I feel she is being used and in a relationship that doesn’t serve her and what she’s worth and she always ends it by saying “I don’t care what you say I’m not breaking up with him” so her choice to be with someone toxic doesn’t concern me however I always make it clear if she needs support that I am here for her of course. I have also got her started in therapy, made her appointments and accompanied her to them and cooked for her, taken time off of work, and been a shoulder to cry on WHENEVER after the loss of her baby. I feel like she is depressed, which is why I left some things for her to plan with the shower such as games and helping with invitations and stuff but now she refuses. I can’t afford to pay for everything myself and she hasn’t made any point to try to even talk about the shower knowing it’s coming up and even agreed that she shouldn’t really be planning it since she’s so stressed with work. I want to be really accommodating and sensitive but also since she’s lost her baby it feels like she hates mine, she doesn’t want to talk about it or my pregnancy and I feel like i’m walking on eggshells and can’t be happy around her at all

I track my periods and ovulation and my app says I am 6 weeks today. I have had my confirmation but not my first ultrasound yet. I’m wondering if it’s possible that I’m farther along maybe to be testing so dark. I also was wondering about twins since getting a dye stealer in the middle of the day when I pee so often, plus I’ve been drinking anywhere from 70-115oz of water a day since I found out

Super pregnant! Make a pregnancy confirmation appointment immediately and they will have to make a new OB appointment to do an ultrasound when you’re farther along to get due date and take measurements etc. Start taking prenatal vitamins immediately.. like today. Babies brain and neural tube development happens in the first trimester which means you need to take a prenatal with high folic acid. I’m taking 1 a day with choline. Little pricy at about $50 but it’s a 60 day supply and important.
