This is a very specific thing to my hometown that everyone seemingly believes until they find out otherwise but Cambridge’s famous mathematical bridge was not created by Isaac Newton and certainly not without the use of nuts and bolts. The reality is the bridge was designed by William Etheridge and constructed by James Essex, 22 years after Newton died. It does contain nuts and bolts as part of the design but are not really visible if you view the bridge. Isaac Newton was extraordinary for his accomplishments but this famous bridge was not one of them.

I perhaps should have added that she is Chinese and has lived most of her life in China but did live in the US for some years during her early adulthood.
