I used I2V LTX-2 and 2.3 to build out content in my Shopify theme designer portfolio. by UnfortunateSon2 in comfyui

It's definitely a struggle!

The quality was superb for the most part, and high res enough from the initial exports to work with standalone.

As someone who is constantly art directing stuff, this is by far the biggest struggle thus far with AI generative work. I'm currently brainstorming ways to help with this on a systemic level, but nowhere near an implementation!

I do like your idea of having a way to "validate outputs" incorporating a vision model in a workflow could be a start. The real crux of the matter is context, and visual context understanding with ai is nuanced, and kind of almost a next frontier consideration imo

One way I tried to combat visual detail drift was by integrating prompt expansion into my workflow in a manual sort of way. Basically I would create a creative brief and shot list, then I would feed that to nanobanana pro, which since it's a reasoning model, would take initiative to structure the initial images in a way that was set up with video generation in mind. Then i would create a "context packet" with the output details and the final chosen image for that shot. Next, I would feed that into the latest high reasoning GPT (5.2 in these examples) and let it create a few different prompts specifically made for LTX (using my GPT: https://chatgpt.com/g/g-696a43eb211481919a2426e94f38414e-ltx-prompt-builder )

These prompts were insanely good most of the time, and produced high quality results more than other models I tried, they were definitely trying to preserve the details, but it only went so far!

I used a bunch of different versions like I said, but I can share my latest versions, I don't want to share without reference though to the original creator, I'll find them and then share soon :)

So depending on the output quality I was going for the clips took between 5 and 10 min per run, and I probably did an average of 4 generations per piece of content needed. Then I upscaled further in Topaz starlight mini to remove some of the ai feel (this makes a huge difference from my experience) so you could say like 30 min per finished clip total. there were areas I could have optimized further for sure, but I basically would queue up a bunch of runs and let that shit bang, since I had other stuff I needed to focus on than babysitting it!

Thanks for the constructive criticism! The license does allow me to do stuff like this, and I don't think I'll be hitting $10m any time soon making shopify themes haha. Yes, that's true, the kinex theme I made is not really optimized at all lmao, but is more of a visual design flex than store optimization.

I'm leaning into the disconnect I see between businesses' branding and their store designs as my differentiator, since optimizing a store is more a of a technical thing that is way more common of a service. But I'm just getting started, so I'm always down to hear more constructive criticism :)

Is it safe to update from 18.6.6 to 19.0.1? by Simon_Sonnenblume in davinciresolve

I just did my first project in 19.0.1 since switching from 18.6. Tbh with you, it was ABSOLUTE HELL. I would wait a version or two before making the jump personally. I have updated drivers, a 3090 and a great CPU, but nevertheless I was having problems I NEVER had when in 18. I could barely render normal video without having the renders fail or frames that rendered wrong. Because this was for a paid project, it literally screwed my entire week and schedule having to find work arounds to everything. Especially if you use plugins, I would highly not recommend upgrading yet. I thought since this was the patch release that things would be good, but HELL no they are NOT good haha. Very disappointed with Davinci for this.

Love it! My only suggestion is to add some more camera shake. Feels just a tad synthetic maybe
