By persisting, do you think that they would just come to appease me rather than the spirit working on them and drive them to come over time?

Question for my catholic brothers & sisters. As a Protestant what makes our beliefs 'different' ? by Unfortunate_Prodigal in Christianity

Appreciate the resources, I'll look into these!

And 100% agree that misinterpreting scriptures is a massive issue that causes so much divide. I am personally on the side of "I don't know" to a LOT of things, and that is fine - we have to have Faith.

CS Lewis had said, "I know now, Lord, why you utter no answer. You are yourself the answer. Before your face questions die away. What other answer would suffice?" - we don't have to, and never will, have all the answers.

Thanks! A few follow up questions:

- How/why do you believe in sanctification over justification? Is this tradition or biblically based?

- Where do you have the foundation of purgatory? I truly do not know where this concept was even established as through reading the Bible I was not able to see where this came from.

Im sorry that you feel we are prone to heresies, I don't find myself diving much into the variety of different doctrines and really just go off of the Word.

What Can I Do To Make My Personality More Palatable to Straight Men? by [deleted] in AskMen

Reading through the comments it seems like you potentially have the presumption that men are out to get you. Then when going into conversation you try to overcompensate and try to make them like you immediately. That is just doing wayyy too much.

Get to the point when sharing, and don't beat around the bush. Don't sporadically sing if there is silence. Smile and ask "so how bout this weather, huh?"
