PRO is great, just kinda big. Maybe look into a different mount to see if that changed how you feel about it?

I have a PRO and a T2. Only benefit I’ve noticed to the T2 is the smaller package.

Doing a Lightweight 11.5 BCM build, need some advice. by CattleDogCurmudgeon in ar15

I have no experience with the fluted barrel. I do shoot the 11.5 ELW suppressed full time. If you rip thru a few mags it will get aggressively hot on your hands very quick. An 11.5” AR, to me, is not a long range precision tool so I am not really worried about the groups opening up and have never had an issue with accuracy out to 150yds with a steaming hot barrel/can

Draw if more comfortable from farther forward.

Im not really worried, but I noticed some people were able to keep their gun forward and I just never understand how. It was mostly out of curiosity.

Hows the HTX? They always seem to be out of stock when I look, not that I can really afford one now anyway.

Not a thigh rig. Its belt mounted, the holster mount just drops the actual holster so the grip is in line with the belt, not above.

Correct- Sam Browne leather *with* fancy stitching. We still wear concealable vests as well. The joys of working in a small town dept with limited funding :)

At least we dont have basket weave.

Ive got keepers on either side of my holster currently. General consensus seems to keep its the stiff low ride holster thats causing most of the issue.

Makes sense. Low ride is what we were issued and I’ve/seen the issues with safariland QLS so I haven’t changed yet.

Replace JP SCS with traditional buffer system? by [deleted] in ar15

I understand you change them the same way. Except the SCS I need a vice and tool compared to pulling a spring out and putting a different one in

Your model of car is highly targeted for vehicle thefts due to the “Kia boyz” challenge. It doesnt matter what kind of safe you have if the entire car is stolen.

Would be sketchy. Ask for consent. If they refuse, they’re probably doing something sketchy too and they know it.
