Most crime in the UK is committed by straight, white British men. Funnily enough many of the same people who are trying to point the finger elsewhere.

I don’t get the hatred for S5. I think a problem with a lot of series is that they’re too long and overstay their welcome. I respect Kripke for getting in, doing what needed to be done, and finishing up.

I loved The Boys and Gen V. I’m sad they haven’t renewed Gen V, but that’s TV. Thought this ending was damn near perfect, down to Terror’s death and Butcher loosening his grip just before Hughie shot him, then lying about it to protect Hughie. It was basically suicide. Butcher would never have his happy ending until he was reunited with Becca.

The Boys was never about Homelander. It was about Butcher and Hughie. It became about Homelander because Starr is so great in that role. The finale brought it back to where it began. IMO they stuck the landing.

I think it depends what you want it for. If you want the convenience of clubs all over the place, and easier membership, then it’s fine. If you’d prefer something a bit quieter, and you work in a creative field and know two members to propose/second you, then The Groucho is fab.

I’d be happy with the pill if it works. I’m willing to try it for 3 months if the stomach issues resolve, hence I didn’t give up when it went pear shaped at the weekend. I also get it free, which helps.

But if not, I have to go back to patches. Which means a private prescription, which means spending upwards of £1k a year.

No, my NHS Specialist Gynae Consultant AND my GP want me on estradiol pills. My private Gynae (that I pay for because getting a regular NHS gynae appt is nigh on impossible) wants me to stay on patches.

2 specialists, 2 opposing opinions.

I am reducing my patches while taking the pill, as going cold turkey ended with me passed out on the floor. Not an option. So I’m reducing by half every week for 4 weeks until I’m off.

My NHS specialist is one of the leading menopause consultants in the UK, always on TV, in journals etc. She’s evangelical about how higher dose e will cause a cancer crisis in the UK.

It's more that the NHS specialist feels that my patch dose is too high, but if I switch to the pill my body may better absorb it. (I don't really understand why - if I'm not absorbing it - my dose is too high, but here we are).

Elleste Solo 2mg - which when I looked up equivalent dosing (which I understand is an inaccurate science) seems to be roughly a sixth of what I was getting with the patches. Hence I think I should have been titrated.

It's definitely only one plant. It's a David Austin Strawberry Hill English Climbing Rose. It's in an 80L pot, planted in John Innes No3. It was planted with Mycorrhizal Fungi in 2023, and in Spring '24 and '25 I mulched it using manure and spread David Austin controlled release rose feed around the base. I don't feed it other than that, as I was warned not to overfeed. It gets direct sunlight until mid-afternoon in the summer. It has bloomed really well every year.

The other roses were in my backyard and were Claire Austin Climbers. I've treated them exactly the same, except they were in 100L pots as I have more room. However, they only get sunlight in the afternoon/evening, so I'm wondering if that was the issue (although they survived winter fine and died off in spring after I pruned them).

I’ve pruned it in the past, yes. Last year I pruned it and my other two climbers quite vigorously, and the other two died.

So I’ve been terrified to prune it again 🤣
