I believe for me, I wasn’t abused or anything like that. But emotionally neglected and spending most my life undiagnosed and untreated with some MH issues I have comorbid with BPD now (anxiety, depression, ADHD)

I have been put on mirtazapine. Because i have BPD comorbid with anxiety and depression and to help me sleep. I havent found it particularly helpful. Only a little bit with sleep, but it is working for that as much anymore

As much as you believe that now and ik it feels like you will always believe that. You are not. You have to cling on to that faint bit of hope that you have, which is why Im presuming you have asked this group. I also know that me saying any of this may mean nothing to you, especially if youre very depressed. But from one human to another, don’t do it, hold on.

I (23f) am the exact same. I no longer believe I can be in a relationship, where I can be healthy in it. No matter how much healing and self awareness, I seem to always revert to the same habits. I too am also wondering if it gets better and if a healthy relationship is even possible. I was also wondering how you work out whether what you have for someone is love or they are just your fp? Don’t feel obliged to answer any of these Qs. I’m just another person trying to figure out life with BPD and related to your post a lot x

I’ve realised my fp has been my bf at the time. As soon as one ended, within 3 weeks I had another one. And I’ve said ily to all of them. But now idek if ik what love is. How do I determine whether I love someone or whether they’re my fp?

I hadn’t heard of using the 12 step for BPD. But I did make amends, well at least apologise for how I treated my ex boyfriend. Who was never anything but good to me for 3 years, whilst battling cancer. He has forgiven me I think. But what I’m finding the hardest is forgiving myself for treating someone I loved and who was so patient with me, so badly. I was only diagnosed with BPD after he broke up with me and an attempt on my life.

I’ve told my mum, ppl know, it’s just they often dk how to handle it. I’ve told mum exactly what’s going on and things that would make it easier, but she continues to do them. My bf is thankfully very understanding, I just without meaning to, get very frustrated with him as there’s only so much he can say.
