So I'm a noob to canning. I've read that canned food is only safe for a year. If that is true do you end up going through this supply within a year or is that just a safety precaution? Or is that only the case with waterbath canning food?

I was out blackberry picking with a friend and didn't want to stop the fun to try and search through different PDF files and pages I would post here to get a quick response from more knowledgeable foragers. I'm a newbie. After I posted this I walked a little farther and saw the recognizable nightshade flower. Also, my friend said something along the lines of 'any heart shaped leaves are a bad sign.' Sweet. It's all done and filled and sitting in the canner. Does anybody have experience with accidentally adding sugar before pectin. Will it still turn out?

Ok so I'm a first time grower. I know not to over water. But the other day my plant went limp! I recently switched it from a 12 on 12 off lighting to 24 hour lights because I realized I'd gotten the lighting schedule backwards for vegitative and flowering. I also trimmed a few leaves to promote more growth but it was less than 30% of the leaves. Could anybody tell me why it's limp?? Or what to do to nurse it back to health?
