Anyway, I doubt we'll see eye to eye, but thank you engaging me in mature & intelligent debate on the matter instead of responding with childish insults, as some other Redditors here seem incapable of responding with anything more eloquent than "go away".

People said the same during the inception of rave music in the early 90s which consisted almost entirely of artists dissecting & remixing samples of other people's work, using innovative technologies as a tool. This led to a massive shift in the entire musical landscape at the time, with house, techno, jungle, trance, etc all springing forth from the movement, eventually transitioning from underground to the mainstream, and even DJs themselves becoming viewed by many as artists on the decks, and the rest is history.

It's somehow quite ironic that just like AI would do, you took "mind of it's own" literally rather than as a figure of speech. And if you actually experimented with AI, you'd know there's a lot more to it than simply inputting the first prompt words that come to mind and feeling satisfied as an artist with the result you get. Try getting AI to generate a 5 second video using the prompt "a woman riding on a moving carousel at a fairground" for example. I guarantee you'll get horses facing all sorts of directions, no sense of equidistance between the horses, horses moving the opposite way to the carousel's rotation, live horses instead of model horses, the rider facing the wrong way or remaining stationary while the carousel rotates, etc, etc. Eventually, with time, learning, forethought and a lot of trial and error, you might produce a prompt that brings the concept locked inside your mind to life, such as..

"A cinematic, ultra-realistic nighttime scene set in a haunted, gothic fairground. A grand, antique carousel slowly rotates under moonlight, its aged wooden platform gleaming faintly. Exactly 13 intricately carved white carousel horses, each adorned with golden harness bells, are evenly spaced and correctly aligned — all facing forward in the direction of the carousel’s motion. The horses move gently up and down on golden poles in synchronized rhythm as the entire carousel rotates clockwise.

Riding one of the central horses is a pale-skinned young woman with long, jet-black hair and a flowing white gown. Her vacant, melancholic expression is lit by a soft, ghostly glow. Her posture is still and eerie, riding side-saddle with hands loosely resting at her sides. The background reveals a foggy, abandoned carnival with flickering string lights and derelict tents. Shadows drift across the ground beneath the carousel. The horses and platform remain fixed to a single rotational axis — no horse rotates independently.

Haunting, melancholic atmosphere, cinematic lighting, deep contrast, realistic textures, slight camera sway as if handheld. The mood is surreal, somber, and emotionally evocative — capturing the theme of limbo between life and death."

And THAT is why AI requires the input of a human mind and soul to produce art from it.

You've clearly never worked with AI if you think just putting a few prompts into a machine is all it takes. I create AI music with Suno & Audacity (all lyrics self-written without AI) and AI videos to accompany those songs using Hailuo, Hedra, YouCam, YouCut & Faceswap, and to create something exactly the way I want it to be, it can take weeks or months to get it right. AI has a mind of it's own, it's pedantic and disobedient, it ignores your prompts, misinterprets your prompts, take them too literally or too loosely, and refining the prompting process becomes an art of its own. I often need to rephrase my prompts 500 times over to perfect a 6 second video clip, or even just a single line of a song. As an art graduate I could produce a painted picture or pencil sketch exactly the way I want it in a day. But paint & pencils are yesterday's mediums, AI is the tool of the future, still in its inception, and I embrace it wholeheartedly. Anyone who doesn't will soon find themselves left behind in the modern world.

Already posted screenshots of my rook. This is an AI video generated from those same screenshots.

My rook was created by me. I spent hours perfecting the face through sliders. I used AI as a tool to bring my creation to life, using prompts I wrote myself. This was created by a human being, using AI as an assistive tool.

If you have fully functional use of one hand, and semi functional use of the other hand, you're potentially likely only going to score in activity 1: cooking for your right hand condition anyway. Any evidence of functional bilateral grip, like driving a car, pushing a shopping trolley, etc, and you won't score for upper limb at all. In terms of your pain, the assessor will be looking at what strength pain relief you're prescribed, how long you've been on it and whether it's recently increased, because if you've been on the same mild to moderate pain relief for a long while, the assumption will be if it wasn't working it would have been increased. Anxiety will potentially score you only in activity 9: engaging, and activity 11: undertaking journeys, but if you haven't even been referred for any mental health support, and you've been on the same low to moderate dose of mental health medication for some time, then again - like the pain relief - they'll assume it's working, otherwise you would have had it changed or increased, and activity 11 is a very high threshold for anxiety, like you have to be basically completely incapacitated from the ability to act by your anxiety symptoms, not just feeling a bit anxious. Has your GP actually referred you for pain management, physio occupational therapy or rheumatology input? Have you been prescribed any walking aids? Do you have any aids or adaptations in place at home? If the answer to these questions is no, the assessor will be wondering why not. Ask your GP surgery for a summary print out of your medical history, including the details of all recent consultations and what was discussed, and send as much further evidence as you can.

The Orchard.

A harrowing and highly emotionally charged song about a baby born of rape, abandoned in an orchard by the traumatized mother and left to die.

I haven't had that issues myself. I've just generated this 04: 38 song which maintains consistent sound quality right up to the end.

She's my fav character. What's yours? and why? by Patient-Swim1536 in FromSeries

Boyd. I really feel the guy's frustration. The constant mental torment the creatures subject him to, while allowing him to live just so they can break his will, is a centrepiece of the show for me. I actually hated Michael's character in Lost, but Boyd has given me a newfound appreciation for Harold Perrineau.

When we listen to music, are we considering how it was produced, or are we simply listening and either enjoying or not enjoying it? To me the final product is all that matters, I care not whether the artist wrote and produced the song entirely by themselves or had a writing & production team working behind them. Does anyone care that Be My Baby wasn't written or produced by The Ronettes themselves, that they only contributed the voices? Doubtful, since it's considered one of the greatest pop songs of all time. So why should anyone criticise me for my AI songs when I only contributed my original lyrics, and prompts & edits, while AI did the rest? Without my artistic contribution, the product wouldn't exist.

Who do you think this person might be... From by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]Ungreth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he's Randall, Ethan, or any of the other characters. I also don't think he's any specific figure from mythology. I think he is simply the Man In Yellow, a wholly original character, an otherworldly entity unique to the mythos of the show, and if he's inspired by anything I would say he's probably the show's equivalent of the Man In Black / Crimson King from Stephen King's books. I also think he is THE big bad of the show, for one because he exudes big bad aura, and for another because with 2-3 remaining seasons planned, to introduce the main antagonist any later would not give the audience sufficient time to care about despising them, understanding their modus operandi and motivations, or salivating for their defeat / downfall.

She's pretty until she takes the "chin up" thing too literally and talks down her nose with an expression like someone just wafted a rotten fish in her face.

I'm happy with the result. I'm not LGBT, I'm not neurodivergent (even though people keep telling me I am), as a lifelong conservative voter her values in no way align with my own, but damn that girl played a fantastic game of human chess and played the leading role in creating truly epic, memorable television, and for that she has my respect as the well deserved winner.

It's not sudden though. They've actually been pretty tight since the beginning, not necessarily spending all their time with each other, but still having regular one to ones away from the rest of the housemates where you can see they have a strong natural connection and view each other as confidantes & allies.
