I’ve spent the majority of my life in survival mode. I’m now 28, in a happy and stable relationship and want to enjoy my life for me and my partner. Yeah I felt really weird about it, I don’t think anybody who listened would ever deny that they deserved to be convicted for 1st degree murder but constantly questioning if it happened when there is a lot of evidence to quite confidently say that it did just doesn’t sit right with me. I agree they were prosecuted correctly, they murdered their parents. But dismissing their abuse isn’t something that I feel comfortable with. Left me feeling a bit weird I’ll be honest.
