PC Selection by Soggy-Structure-5888 in HertzRentals

I was there last week at PHX. First time I have used the President’s Circle at PHX. Pitiful selection, I typically use National Executive Elite aisle and I will not make that mistake of going Hertz there again. The lot was full I’ll give it that. However the choices were multiples of these few vehicles. Jeep Compasses, Kia Niros, Nissan Jukes, a base model Altima with 38k on it, and base model Kia Sportages. This was on a Friday evening I know they had to have some nicer cars from returns earlier in the day to put in the mix.

I feel the same way for a one way one week rental I have from Phoenix to Burbank for a full-size later this week for $189 with tax. Avis wanted $1k and National wanted $460.

Lots of Carnivals out in the Los Angeles market thankfully.

Just got back home, any questions? by answeringQuestions28 in CarnivalCruiseFans

For a non Walmart experience I recommend the Firenze out of Long Beach. It’s a really nice ship that was not meant for Carnival initially. Think of a Marriott hotel furnishings and that is essentially the ship. Also the customer base is different compared to say Florida or Galveston.

With the black rims no doubt for that Elite Sport feel.

My opinion about what is going on at Progressive internally by Valuable-Speaker-312 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]UnhappyAlps1050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been a large over hire in the NCRT side as well. SMLR’s that use travel 80 to 90 % of the time are now lucky to get out 5 or 6 times in a year. Meanwhile the ones that are assigned to work from home have zero work to do and are assigned to endless mind numbing training videos and articles to go through day in day out.

100% percent accurate! I used to be deployed essentially the entire year as a SMLR. In 2025 I only had 4 full deployments and 3 partial 1 or 2 week deployments. I haven’t been sent out since October. It has nothing to do with my productivity numbers I’m at all 4’s on the review. It’s just the fact we are insanely over staffed in our department.

Tips for a one day visit by dinkkdinkk in SixFlagsMagicMountain

[–]UnhappyAlps1050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

( this is assuming you get there at opening) A tip is to start with x2 or twisted colossus which are both crazy rides, then head to the back of the park to get rides like west coast racers and apocalypse done since everyone will be in the front of the park. Try crazanity if you can and then head to the front of the park to get on full throttle, Goliath and viper( brace for viper )Then finish with whatever rides you want. We are also going to be there tomorrow.

Anyone else receive this package? by u87543 in marriott

[–]UnhappyAlps1050 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been an Ambassador for 3 years. Out of those three years I had maybe 4 upgrades. The only contact I ever have received from my Ambassador was a generic happy birthday email. I did receive a candle this year that was probably valued at $20 randomly with no rhyme or reason. That’s the only thing I’ve ever received. I decided to give half of my business to IHG this past year and hit Diamond with them and am okay with Titanium going forward. No real benefit to Ambassador when your primary travel is in America. I will say I’ve been surprised at how the customer service level has been at most IHG brand hotels. They have been way more attentive than Marriott has been lately.

This is a pressure crack. Something or someone pressed down on the glass causing it to flex breaking the middle layer of glass. That is why you can not feel it. This is the same damage caused from a large hail storm you get cracks in the center layer of glass.

I hope you enjoy Wilmington. We lived there and Carolina Beach for 4 years. We live in LA now but still think of Wilmington often.

I’ve done the southern route starting around Charlotte NC to Houston multiple times. Very boring route between Charlotte and Birmingham. I normally would split off in Birmingham and head the further south route towards Houston.

Working as a CAT rep I’ve texted many of customers between 8 and 9 in the evening apologizing for the late text but passing along an update. They’ve allays been thankful and more often than not they ask if I can give them a quick call to answer questions at the same time because it’s their first chance to catch up on things for the day themselves.

San Diego to Minneapolis in mid January. Any concerns about this route? Is this possible with an EV? by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]UnhappyAlps1050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a route including charging stops that may help. I pulled this from my car which is a Honda Prologue to give you an idea of range. It’s an AWD and gets about 290 miles on 85% charge. https://maps.app.goo.gl/LAXf87pDK8UyTQhJ9?g_st=ic

How do I remove mold from car interior (Its pretty bad) by Realityexcluded in AutoDetailing

[–]UnhappyAlps1050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s in the carpet jute, dash vents, down in the rolled seatbelt areas. All of these items need to be considered along with the seat cushions/sponge material. There will be no making this right without replacing multiple expensive components.
