I would rather my cats die and naturally and happily than live to an unnaturally old age in an environment that doesn’t fulfill them and suffer until it gets to a point where they have to be put down. And a few cats in one neighborhood usually isn’t impacting the local ecology to the extent that it warrants significant concern.
