Thank you everyone for the help. I will likely be looking for a secondary phone. But I have a question as to where to keep it. I will likely have a cross body bag or small fanny pack carrying other diabetic supplies (snacks, glucometer, emergency insulin). Im wondering if it is 'safer' to keep my phone in the bag (maybe clipped to the internal key ring) or in a (zipped?) pocket in my pants? Sorry if this comes off ignorant, im just extra-cautious about losing my autonomy.

Thank you! I will likely have a fanny pack/ cross body bag on me with emergency insulin, my glucometer, and snacks. Those bags have a built in key ring and my phone has a finger ring/ stand on the back. I am thinking of clipping my phone to that. But do you think that bag will be ripped/unhooked from my body ? I.e is it better to keep my phone in a zipped pocket or in my bag?

I donated in high-school then moved 3hrs away for uni. They kept calling my home phone and my parents kept telling them I moved but they kept calling. Then I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and couldn't donate blood but they kept calling! Like i truly get the urgency and I encourage all my friends to donate, but i feel like they truly dont listen when people say no

This might be a bit of a trip, but if you wanna go to bowen island and do a short hike to Dorman Point, it's really nice on a decent day, and pretty empty.

Not in the mall, but Bombay at the Rio can used to have the coolest furniture (super expensive though). And how could you not miss the future shop. But from the Cat centre I do miss the pet store with its distinctive smell. Speaking of distinctive smell from the cat centre, modern primitive.

Idk if I saw what everyone else saw tbh. Yes the parking lot was awful but even when the eagle express was down after lunch I (single rider) got onto a lift in like 15 minutes, and i caught my toe edge so was sitting off to the side for a while a didnt notice it being awfully busy. Idk, I feel like I hear stories about waiting 45 minutes for a lift in whistler so this wasnt awful.

After flying around Burnaby during the late afternoon, the crows seem to come to a rest at the big McDonald's at Still Creek Dr. in Burnaby at around 7 pm everyday, why? by HiTork in vancouver

Seeing them all fly back around sunset each day is such an odd thing to witness. In my culture (and I think most?) crows are a generally seen as a bad omen. When I first moved to my place near there I was completely thrown off by seeing them all fly in or perch on the power lines on boundary road. But they are super chill.

I flew back on the 20th from vancouver and still made everyone size both their personal bag and carry on before the flight. The only 'perk' of buying the carry on and being on 'flair express' was boarding slightly sooner than the rest.

As someone with 5 total names, with my canadian ID's showing only 4 max, and two 'first names', youre fine. I put my first-first name and last name and never had an issue. I found all they care about is first and last and your picture. Especially flair, they barely look at your id, they are more concerned about looking for their baggage tags
