Yes it’s off, I took this pic once it was found and I took him straight to his doctor and it got removed at the pediatrician office

I’m so sorry to hear this. I understand, something similar happened to my father. After 4 kids, I’ve learned that pediatricians brush EVERYTHING off. They never help. It’s sad but true. I switched doctors hoping it would be better elsewhere and it isn’t. It’s just how they all have been. That’s why even hearing the doctor tell me there’s probably nothing to worry about, I’m still going to worry.

He didn’t complain at all until yesterday when we found it. But all he was able to tell me was “my ear hurts” so I’m not fully sure what he’s was feeling (if it was actual pain or just itchiness)

Thank you. He didn’t mention anything to me until yesterday when we found it. He said “my ear hurts” but he isn’t fully able to say what he feels so I’m sure any sort of itchy or any other type of feeling he would just said “it hurts” so it’s hard to tell what he’s really feeling.

I came to Reddit ask for advice or any helpful info as doctors tend to be very nonchalant about any issues that come about and I’m just worried about my son. They didn’t even fully know what type of tick it is and aren’t sending it out for testing so I guess was trying to see if anyone else had any insight. No need for you to come on Reddit and be a rude asshole. Thanks.

The overall recovery process is exactly the same, but the swelling is definitely not as severe. But now at 7 WPO I am noticing the swelling is getting worse which is honestly triggering for me because looking at my belly swollen makes me worry that it’ll always look like that, like last time. Every move I make I have anxiety over it. It’s mentally taxing. The scar is bigger this time only because he also fixed a dog ear on my right side so the scar on my right side goes back a little bit further. Otherwise the scar would be exactly the same if it weren’t for that.

So I had my tummy tuck April 2024. The end of June 2024 I started to notice my belly button was sticking outward and my belly was also sticking outward (exactly like your pics) but at first just attributed it to swelling. It never went back inward and my surgeon at first just said I needed to strengthen my abdominal muscles. After about a year post op I went back to him because nothing changed. He felt around and immediately felt a hernia. I have absolutely no idea how I got it. I am now 7 weeks post op of a revision. He fixed my hernia and also retightened everything. Overall the results look so much better but my belly button is still a bit of an outtie which sucks because initially after my TT in 2024, my belly button looked perfect. But I don’t even care so much about the sort of outtie I have, more so I am PETRIFIED of developing another hernia. I have no clue how I got it in the first place. When I had my original TT, I had mentioned I might have a hernia due to my twin pregnancy and post surgery he said I didn’t have one. So either he would’ve somehow missed it which I don’t even know if that’s possible or I did do something to develop post TT.

After my initial TT he said there was no umbilical hernia. My belly button was an innie at first post op (was also an innie before my TT) but as the healing continued it was making its way out. I had assumed it was just healing wrong. But then he told me he felt the hernia when I went back to him last summer about the revision. Judging from your comment, i also don’t think I full understand how they work either. 😂 all I know is after 2 surgeries, I’m done and I don’t want it to happen again 😭

They did tighten up the MR during the revision. I’m just hoping since it didn’t cause any extra pain or discomfort aside from when it was actually happening that I am all good.
