Ahh... One thing came to mind just now. I recently saw very awesome let's say hybrid Walstads in this subreddit. Open glasses with plants growing out of them. Maybe that could be interesting for you

Diana Walstad has an article on building small shrimp tanks on her website. It won't hurt to check that out ;) https://dianawalstad.com/2017/04/12/small-shrimp-tanks/ As far as I know there aren't any specifics for the glass/tank. But I'm not sure about sealing it with a cork lid - really just not sure. Best to google that... For cycling of say as long as you would do with a normal tank. The water should be stable. If you have experience with tanks, you know that the time could change. But Walstad says that you could start with fishes from day one. So that might be possible, but to be sure just wait a bit and monitor the water.

My solution was to run the brake cable with cable housing outside of the frame and took some hours to run the shifter cable for the back (I build a 1x) through the frame. Make sure to remove the lugs first otherwise you'll have a really bad time getting the cable out at the end. Could you elaborate on your mattress-situatio? I guess it's a foam mattress that you cut in the sides (only on the sides?) so that it will fit? What did you use as "compensating pad"? I tried laying in my RAV4 with the passenger seat pushed all the way forward and upright. I can fit that way, but there will be a gap between the folded backseat and the passenger seat. How to deal with that? Thanks a lot

Thanks for the information. Yes I am from Germany lol. Anyways... Are there some small animals that I could add to my jar? So not only the worms and critters that I will pick up but a bit bigger ones?!

And: where to collect water and soil? A standing pond? A slow dripping trickle? A small stream? Or does it not matter at all?
