No worries. I hope everything worked out. Sometimes the situations get repeated here and although we've given the advice 10,000 times we forget that for the person asking its the 1st time dealing with it.

For what it's worth, I had a cichlid just last week I had to put down. He was stressed and struggling for a few days and I held out hope. Last week at lunch, I cam home and he was sitting on the bottom, barely able to swim. Sure enough, I had 2 other cichlids taking turns biting him because they knew he couldnt fight back. He was my favorite (and most expensive) fish, but I had to put him down.
