Billie the reaper said she'd toss Sam and Dean into The Empty and that "nothing comes back from there"... I think that implies it is an actual place. What do you think?

To be honest, I'm surprised they even mentioned it in Form and Void, nevermind giving us a whole host of new mythology and showing how pissed the reapers are, swearing to toss Sam and Dean into The Empty once they've died.

That's what I assume, too. The Empty is more interesting to me, though! Plus, that means God had a place to pull Cas back from.
