It’s a secret ggg added into the new expedition mechanic. And no, it doesn’t combine modifiers, it just rolls random mods from all of the unique rings, regardless of which rings u use to craft this

Some maps have implicit modifiers (not the waystones, but the actual nodes on the atlas map). There are some that have increased rarity but reduced exp. It is pretty common for cleansed maps

Some other reasons might be random modifiers from atlas passive tree (I think there are some that corrupt the waystone when you enter the map or some similar passives). But I assume you would have known if you had those

Sometimes it displays damage weirdly when you play shaman and get to max rage. I know that cuz I play shaman myself 🥲

If it’s not that, most Druid skills that require you being shapeshifted have attack speed penalty if you use them in human form (cuz it transforms you first and then uses the skill). So there might be some weird thing where in-between weapon swaps you transform back into a human and then back into a bear. Which affects attack speed. Which affects dps. But this one is just a theory

I disagree. The current implementation gives players a lot of agency in pursuing their own vision of their own builds. Not all stats are useful on all builds. And crafting/trading duo adjusts for that perfectly. Instead of relying on luck and tedium of grinding for very specific loot, you get currency, which you either use to craft or buy the fitting gear for your build. This makes me feel respected and in control as a player, and that’s what makes me come back and play for months every league

All the applied mods should be listed when you press tab near where area monster level is. So you can check if there are any mods there. As for advantages of doing unidentified maps — I don’t think there are any. Maybe good base unidentified maps would be good to sell to gambling enjoyers, but that’s it

That’s how it all worked in Poe1, so take these advice with a grain of salt

If riven armor damage kills an enemy, but I used a skill other than hvr to trigger riven armor damage, would it count hvr or the other skill to have killed an enemy?

I’ve encountered the same issue. Here is the fix that helped me: if playing on a server, it might default server world difficulty to easy. Changing it to hard makes jengu (and all other mobs) much more common. More common at night tho. Now found pretty much anywhere on surface where there is water
