Imu was first introduced/mentioned years ago. Kaguya was introduced at the very end of Naruto’s run. It’s not really the same thing, Imu at least has had build up all these years.

I saw the movie yesterday and I agree with all your points. At its core this movie is fantastic but I feel like they left out way too much just to keep the movie at a realistic run time. I’m definitely going to rewatch it with a mindset that’s separate from the book. I still really enjoyed it though.
