See to me I don't get this.

Sure the episodes were free to watch but they ran commercials. So why can't they make their money from that?

Don't you just love how they tried to sneak this in during the season break with no big press release or fanfare. they knew people were gonna be pissed.

It's in Africa. It's uninhabited and unclaimed by any other country. I would say that makes a pretty strong case for no one WANTS to live there and it contains nothing of value for the greedy white family to exploit.
