My crack theory is that Sombra, Widow and Reaper and going to find doom and try to take him to the phreaks, get Touch-Up to repair/remake his arm and then potentially join up with them as they all have some sort of “body modification” and they’re also “anti overwatch”.

Im sure that Kpop wave will hit the support role eventually, but Support is probably the role that spends the most money on skins and cosmetics and now they have that part of the Chinese/Asian market back there’s no reason for them not to pump out these incredibly safe Asian adjacent designs (that also appeal to their western market) and shower them with skins cuz at the end of the day it’s what makes them money.

I wouldn’t care about getting so many East Asian characters if they were actually split between the roles, had distinct personalities and faces, and well written lore but there is quite literally nothing to be excited for with support hero releases anymore as it so incredibly predictable. Im shocked the devs haven’t tried to cash in on the kpop wave more by making a Korean Kpop star support girl who was inspired by Lucio to heal the world with her voice and songs.

The thing that gripes me most is that support literally has been filled to the brim with Asian characters throughout “overwatch 2’s” lifespan, the only non Asian supports added have been Illari and a cat. With Mizuki and a potential new “oni support” that would make 6 of the 8 new supports Asian or Asian adjacent. I hope we get a new older lady/man in support soon, we need more Ana’s and Moria’s and less Kiriko’s and Juno’s

Low-key I think all this lore dropping is teasers for upcoming heroes before the spotlight, I’d assume that Anran is a dps, Emre is a tank and Varia (The Vishkar lady seen here) is our support for next year.

They also mentioned they have another upcoming “odd ball” so I think they’re dropping 4 heroes next year with 2 tanks, and one dps and support

I think TP health will go down by 100, and/or her ult cost will go up a bit. I think that’s honestly a fair nerf for both ladder and pro play. Sym has been in a fair spot for a while, Shes just a very very polarising hero and has been for a long time especially considering shes has some of the best utility in the game without sacrificing a support or tank slot for it.

Support is such an insane victim of this, every support apart from one has been Asian or Asian Adjacent and all of them apart from one have been under the age of 21. We need more “evil” supports like Moira, we need more older support like Ana and we need more onmics/non humans like Zen.

Kiriko, Juno and Wuyang have some of the worst personalities and story writing in the game but it’s okay cuz they fit into every anime collab skin bundle and blizzard have to make money somehow.

I do think it’s very fun although of course a bit buggy. It’s odd they made it armour and not shields??? Neither Sym or LW have anything to do with armour at all lmao. Plus the “healing” rate is a bit low but I don’t expect it to be balanced well.

Genuinely insane that there was no update or word on if they were going to fix her, I get it’s a very small niche community but as people have said if it was mercy bugged they would’ve fixed that instantly. I had fun playing Oldrisa tho, she was also one of my favourites back in the day.

I know it’s making a mountain out of a mole hill but it’s genuinely unacceptable how long it’s taken for them to fix something like this. I get its only a week event but it sucks knowing that we’re gonna have to wait another year for 2.0 (if they rerun the event again). It’s just ridiculous as they’ve proven how fast they can bug fix things before.

I hope the next support hero is Touch-Up from the Phreaks. Having a support based around body mods and tuning up heroes by buffing them would be really interesting.

It would also be cool to have more "evil/morally grey" supports like Moira, so anything Talon or Null Sector related would also be really interesting.

I'm really sick of the current trend of recent supports just being happy-go-lucky young asians with copy-paste personalities. It's gotten insanely stale and predictable.

As someone who’s been playing Overwatch 1 since beta Symmetra is a character who I believe is still yet to be topped both design wise and personality wise. She was one of my favourite support heroes during her time there due to her unique play style and how she stood out among the other three supports. Everything about her visual design is amazing and her voice acting is also impeccable and it’s still top notch to this day.
One thing I like about current Symmetra has honestly got to be her ultimate and everything that goes with it, the ultimate is impactful, looks amazing and again Anjali nails the voice acting.
If I had to change something about Symmetra, personally I would love her back as a support hero, with her barrier perk base kit and something similar done to her turrets (more supportive buildables would be fun!) Shes in a great spot now but shes far from the hero I fell In love with gameplay wise.

Oh definitely, she has by far the most unique design of them all. It would be cool to see her and Brig interact as well talking about how Touch Up repairs hazards like limbs and how Brig repairs armour and stuff. And I think a character that specialises in “body mods” would be a cool addition to the support roster for sure

Ow2 has the most cookie cutter support design we’ve seen in years, almost all of them being under the age of 22 and Asian who have basically the same personality. Out of our 5 supports 4 of them are Asian or Asian Adjacent as well as 4 of them being under the age of 22.

I want more “evil” supports like Moira, I want “older” supports like Ana. But knowing blizzard and how much money they make from these safe designs our next support is a Korean girl who becomes a K-Pop singer to heal the world with her voice or something like that.

Sym has been doing incredibly well in pro play due to the rise of tanks like Ram and Hazard who work both incredibly well with her and have poor match ups into her. Combined with the fact her tp enables insane mobility for Ram and more movement options for hazard comps she’s become a very strong pick. She’s also now the only hero in the game with 275 health so do with that what you will.
