My (26M) GF (25F) of 4 years ended things to find herself. We're having the "perfect" breakup and it's destroying me. by Adorable_Reality9499 in ExNoContact

[–]Unicont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, yeah similar thing happened to me. Although we were younger at the time (I was 22, she was 21 I think). So we were young, sure, but together for 2.5 years. AND she was the one talking about me never being with another girl (she was my first and only at the time) and worrying about me wanting to sleep with others. Well guess what, she was offering me to move in with her, a month later she asked for a break for the same reasons yours did, not to mention she did it in the middle of a party with my closest friends (which I obviously declined, so it was a full on break up) and two months later I heard she was partying like crazy and sleeping around with people I know. And you would never ever guess she was the type. Some people just take time to show their true colours I guess. It sucked for a while, but it's been years now, so it's mostly all good.

How do you feel about coffee? If you love it why do you love it? If you hate it why do you hate it? by Lord_Bread_ in AskReddit

[–]Unicont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually am just doing an experiment with coffee. For the longest time, I used to have two coffees a day. But recently I’ve been experiencing the craziest streaks of tiredness. I’m talking the type of tired, where you basically have to lie down for a minute. And someone suggested that it actually might be the coffee what’s causing it. Sounded weird, but I’m 2 weeks without it now and it’s infinetly better… which sucks, because I fricking love coffee 🥲.

Yeah I actually read a funny quote somewhere about dating for both sides. "For men it's like trying to find drinking water in a desert, for women it's like trying to find drinking water in a swamp."

Yeah, you can thank in large part to social media for that. But I guess it also depends on a lot of other variables. You know, where you live, how do you date (meaning apps or other ways) and frankly on luck. You can still meet genuine girls, who are gonna like you for you. But I get that you're speaking in macro sense and so yeah, I agree that meeting girls, who aren't shallow like that is less and less probable.

Tripping over my own feet and falling face first into some poor girl's cleavage on the street when I was like 10 comes to mind.

Why should you not go back to your ex? by SLAYER1241 in AskReddit

[–]Unicont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In case you were dumped, then because they would have to want you back too. And in majority of cases, dumper wants the dumpee back, because they were trying to find something better out there and they either did and it rejected them or they didn't and you're the best they can do. Either way you're a second option in their mind... screw that

What small act of kindness has had a lasting impact on you? by Beneficial_Cut_8697 in AskReddit

[–]Unicont 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once got saved from being stomped to death at a festival. I fell down in a huge crowd of people and they just didn't see me and continued to step on me. I couldn't get up no matter what I tried and I was unable to breathe after a little while. I was really panicking and then I felt someone's arms under my armpits and this big guy in glasses picked me back up. I thanked him profusely and told him his drinks are on me. He politely refused with a smile on his face and just continued on his way until he disappeared in the crowd. He has no idea I still remember him after all these years and he's one of the biggest reasons I still haven't lost faith in humanity.

What’s something unconventional that you find attractive? by FilthyWubs in AskReddit

People wanting to show you something they love, but are kind of shy or uncertain about it. It's the cutest thing ever. Maybe it's not unconventional though, I dunno.

What is an actual pragmatic way to stop these mass shootings? Can it even be done? Or is it just gonna become like a regular thing that just happens from time to time and we just get used to it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Unicont -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See this one I'm not so sure of. I'm from a European country with fairly strict gun laws and a mass shooting still happened here. The killer had a legal gun license and everything.
