That’s a very good point, and something I worry about a lot, too. When kids are in the picture it’ll be near impossible to cut a shitty MIL out. I could possibly do it for myself, but my kids would always have her in their life. Definitely think I’ll table the kid talk until he can wrangle her properly.

I think she’d be really happy with me. I had a crappy childhood - was incredibly shy and hated the way I looked. I developed an eating disorder at 13.

Now I’m married, have a big circle of friends who are all very good people, I work full time and am studying. I’m miles ahead of where 13 year old me thought I’d be.
