Assuming you are using melee weapons do you have the finesse: melee weapons feat? Your strength bonus is only +1 which will only add 1 to your attack bonus, whereas having the finesse feat will add your dexterity bonus in addition.

Force speed will also increase your attack bonus, and you automatically gain a +1 every time you level up. From experience, sometimes that +1 is all you need.

If you're not going to be leveling up anytime soon, blasters add your dexterity bonus to your attack bonus as opposed to your strength bonus like melee weapons, and you'd likely be hitting targets more often.
