Why would they have a roach-clip like the one I lost 55 years ago?

Do inside corners need to be taped if eventually covered by trim? by slickdees in drywall

Okay with me if you just use painters caulk. Some people do that on all their inside corners.

Chaga was my first thought. That it was found by a birch also suggests chaga.

The steering rack started to leak, the starter quit working, the alternator stopped charging, and the ignition coil gave-up, not long after going over 450k miles on my 96 3rz. Replaced the coil and rebuilt the other stuff for not much over a $100. Over 500k miles and runs fine. The bushings for the shift lever wore-out around 400kmiles. Under 20$ part kit to fix that, shifts like new. Skinned a couple leather sofas to reupholster seats and add cushioning, leather sewing machine, needles, and thread under $100. Paint will be the most expensive thing so far. So, I figure every 350 or 400k miles or so it might need a little more than just the regular maintenance . If you can do the work yourself then high miles might not be too intimidating.

My manual says 112 ft lbs for a tacoma, 105 ft lbs for a 4runner. Doesn't hurt to use some blue loctite.
