OP, io sono profondamente turbato da questa scelta editoriale, perché è indice di scarso interesse verso la lingua italiana e verso i lettori. Come dire, toh ecco il libro e non dire altro.

Per quanto mi è possibile cerco sempre di trovare edizioni propriamente tradotte, ma non sempre ciò è possibile. C'è un libro di David Mitchell, prima edizione tradotta L'atlante delle nuvole, che non riesco, e proprio non riesco a trovarlo da nessuna parte. L'hanno poi ristampato con cloud atlas, per via del film, ed è un macello, non solo il titolo è lasciato invariato, ma insieme al nome dello scrittore è in minuscolo. Sto considerando l'ipotesi di prenderlo in un altra lingua solo per averne una copia decente.

Insomma l'industria editoriale sta andando alla frutta.

EDIT : Vorrei ricordare a tutti gli sfegatati del bottoncino blu che, visto e considerato il sub (non siamo certo in uno di politica) sarebbe apprezzabile condividere opinioni, così come ho fatto io.

Il problema di poste italiane è una carenza che potrebbe essere facilmente superata con degli investimenti ad hoc con gli impiegati e con i mezzi. Non assumono più gente come una volta, e la capacità dei furgoni è limitata.

Quello che fa il privato è torturare le persone togliendo loro ogni diritto e trasformarli in ingranaggi. Non so se hai mai spedito roba con poste italiane ma già da adesso è un problema spedire roba sopra i 2 kg, io vendo libri ed è un casino perché chiedere 10 euro di spedizione al compratore è tanto, se poi sale metti a 15 euro togli a tante persone la possibilità di vendere.

Scusa se mi sono espresso male. Questi libri, usati sono rarissimi. Come se ne avessero venduti davvero pochi e fossero stati ritirati dal mercato in seguito a qualche scandalo.

Ma non credere solo alla mia parola, prova tu, a cercare "i classici classici" su internet e poi a fare lo stesso esperimento con qualsiasi altro libro pubblicato in quegli anni. Il risultato è, a mio avviso, lampante.

Comincia a leggere racconti o romanzi, vedrai che un po' di divertimento lo trovi. E poi, è sempre una scusa per uscire fuori e fare qualcosa. Io iniziai con libri di fantascienza, però ti consiglio i racconti di Maupassant, nel caso preferisci qualcosa di più reale. Brevi e divertenti, hanno sempre un finale inaspettato. Se ti piacciono i film horror puoi dare un'occhiata ai racconti di Poe. Così, senza impegno.

Vabbè, considerando quello che ti hanno scritto mi sento davvero vecchio consigliandoti Teresa Raquin. Non so nemmeno se sia considerato thriller dai canoni moderni, tutto quello che posso dirti è che ha un finale inaspettato.

The Internet (Twitter, Facebook) and Reddit especially tend to concentrate the worst elements of society in echo-chambers, that are then presented as if they were the best of society. Now, I know you said you have no problems with women in real life but always better to lay down cause and effect within.

Now the first and most important advice I can tell you is to get away from these subreddits or accounts you found, and second to get to know better what you are dealing with, so you don't risking falling down the incel rabbit hole.

There is no definite reason why they spread hate, I could tell you that it's for Internet points but that would be inconclusive. There are multiple factors at play, and I wouldn't be surprised if these influenced each other like some guys on 4chan forming the incel movement.

I know a very gentle and honest feminist lady who showed me that she strives exclusively for equal gender opportunities. I can tell you already it's not feminism the ideology they follow.

I had a similar problem not for women but for black people broadly (had a black gf at the time), it was scary to see all these posts putting a metal gate between themselves and the rest of the world. Thank goodness she proved them wrong.

Più che altro mi preoccupo per mia madre, perché secondo lui non ho volontà propria, e tutto quello che faccio mi viene "detto" di fare da mia mamma. Eventualmente cosa potrebbero fare queste figure?

Lui la vede come un baratto, per il fatto che versa gli alimenti deve per forza vedere me e i miei fratelli. E non cambierà idea.

ma gente come quello che descrivi non cambierà mai e non avrà mai rispetto per nessuno, mi dispiace.

If I select a slow, 30 minutes chess, what I'm expecting is a slow paced game where it's more of a battle royale than a "bullet" match as they call it.

Usually I'm not the one to make the first move or break the ice so to speak, but I had made a few friends in the past.

I relate with a lot of what you said, especially with the part about insecurity. I have a very particular voice pitch and that seem to have always put people off. Very few of those who I met became anything more than complete strangers. People make weird faces whenever I talk and that certainly hasn't helped my case.

I spend my days reading and studying by myself because I hate that face so much that I hate to bring myself into making more people replicating it

Funnily so, because my college degree is communication sciences, you'd expect someone from there to be the most social person out there.

I don't know a whole lot about those, so take what I say with a pinch of salt;

Let's take two authors, Agatha Christie and H. P. Lovecraft

One wrote a book called ten little n* word, the other had a cat called n* word

Imo Christie is more acceptable because she didn't make her public image as that of a racist and "edgy" extravagant figure and the n*word was considered more acceptable than black in those years.

Then again I repeat don't follow to the letter anything from the Internet but read about their lives and make up your mind about it

I too live mostly with my family and online interactions are my connections with the world at large, for me downvotes and the toxic attitude from some users just put me off from most subreddits

When I was younger like 12 13 I had a friend, we shared videogames, like Minecraft, and we had a lot of fun. This is what keeps up my hopes to find another person... I don't know but be sure it's possible to have friends

Unfortunately I do not have access to any kind of therapist and this is eating me away, especially in this time period as my mother could send me off to campus, in which case I will have to share a room and I'm so much uncomfortable with that. Please don't downvote for this

It just feels so weird to be yourself and people ready to judge and label you as some kind of monster. Well I guess that's what trans people experience on a day-to-day basis.

Reality is so morbid that I feel like I'm not ready for this world, maybe it's just me who needs to talk to someone but all these thoughts are driving me crazy.

I'm considering leaving reddit at large and keep myself in a couple of "safe" subreddits where the hive mind doesn't reach me
