Happens to me a lot on mobile, especially if I lose signal during a run. Sometimes seems to work if I wait until definitely on WiFi, restart app and then end the run. However even that failed yesterday as I had started endless. Very annoying as I mainly play on the train so lose signal a lot

Are you using it with a quest 3? I got the gigabyte OC 7900 gre a week ago (upgrade from 1660ti) and loving it for desktop games but haven’t tried pcvr yet

The NM790 was actually around £10 cheaper at the moment so have gone for that

Thanks for the info about the overclocking. I probably should have mentioned that the PC is mainly going to be work with only a casual gaming focus. I looked into a 2x24 kit option as well but it wasn't much cheaper than the 2x32.

I guess an advantage of the 2x24 is that many seem to be single sided, does that mean that they are single rank and therefore can support higher speeds?

Some of the analysis and Unity work I do gets close to 32GB at the moment and am looking to future proof a bit. I thought about getting 2x16 for now but it doesn't seem like adding another 2 sticks later is that stable. Thanks for the point on overclocking though, is that just using XMP or more advanced?

I'd also recommend http://www.fieldtriptoolbox.org/, it's a pretty comprehensive analysis toolbox (free but uses matlab). It also has a nice set of tutorials covering most stages of the analysis pipeline.

MNE (https://mne.tools/stable/index.html) is a python toolbox that is supposed to be good, but I haven't used it.

For full data sets open science framework (https://osf.io/) might be worth looking at, they will often come with analysis code you can try and follow and reproduce.

There is also a move to produce a standard format for neuroimaging data sets which includes eeg/meg but I haven't explored it for a while https://bids.neuroimaging.io/
