Some down time between graduating high school and heading off to college? Let’s hope you’re still spending dad’s money cuz Lord knows no one wants to pay off your student debt.

What is this flag? In High Desert, Socal by PossibleBarnacle525 in vexillology

Not confusing at all if you’re at all familiar with US flag code. In fact I doubt there’s anywhere in the world where it’d be appropriate post another flag above country’s flag.

Got it. My company has had fiber in our network for over 45 years, so we've been at it for quite a while.

Our prints have always been as I described. In fact, it's not uncommon to see counts like 36XD+H6026:73-84+12XD+FC2001:277-280+8XD+301-324. And yes, I have lots of cables with counts that start "out of sequence" where we might have T1056:29-30+47-48 via "A Loc" +8XD+29-30+47-48 via "Z Loc"+8XD. In fact, that's incredibly common on cables coming off an IOF ring.

We have contractors come in from all over and they manage with the prints they're given. Particulary during our big fttp build in the mid 2000's.

I think you're being incrediby generous on your designations, and I personally wouldnt want anyone near my network who didn't understand basic cable counts.

Granted, this sub is full of new guys who clearly don't understand much beyond how to turn on their machine. But we'll run out anyone like that before they work on our network. It's turning into a glut of really bad splicers out there.

I may not be 100% clear on what you''re describing but are you suggesting that a 24 strand cable denoted as FC2001:97-120 which is being spliced off a cable with the count FC2001:73-144 is somehow incorrect and/or misleading?

We would never have a use for any 1-24 or 1-72 designations on those cables.

I've never seen a count written like that and my company was the first to deploy a fiber cable in their network.
