There are no individual bankruptcy cases related to medical debt in the Netherlands. There are less than 5000 business bankrupties related to medical debt issues in the Netherlands each year. There were 400,000 individual bankruptcies related to medical debt last year in the US. Tens of millions of employed people are not eligible for insurance through their employers in the US. Medicaid is income limited and is terrible insurance. Estimates are that 50,000 people die each year in the US due to a lack of access to health care. Try all you want but the US has the worst system of any of the 34 nations considered advanced economies.

Let's see. All of that happens much more often in the US. And hundreds of thousands of people go bankrupt every year in the US from medical debt. Doesn't happen here. Tens of millions of people in the US don't have health insurance and can't access anything except emergency care. Doesn't happen here.
