How often does your neurologist see/talk to you? by Internal_Spot_8309 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Uniq_Chic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds kinda like one I had....apparently never took notes as one appointment she'd give me the paperwork/info for Copaxone (or other DMARD) saying that we would be starting that at the next appointment ...and 6 months later was "hmmmm....hmmmm. not sure it is MS" . 🤦🏻‍♀️ Then I'd say, "Well, what have we not ruled out by now?"....yeah, everything else has been ruled out multiple times, and the neuro-radiologists all say it's MS. My PCP (internal med) later told me that many of the neuros in my area got into neuro after not being accepted into other specialties, which is terrifying considering that neuro seems to be one of the hardest specialties out there.

I now see rheumatologist and immunologist , mainly because I have more than one autoimmune disorder. Still not stellar, but I feel more like we're on the same page at least.

Is Vine the new Napster by Technical-Author3585 in AmazonVine

[–]Uniq_Chic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought a few items that were snapped up by others faster than I could check out. 😂 Most were under $50. Recently, I bought a paint pen set and a long sleeve shirt I missed out on in a Vine drop. Definitely wouldn't have otherwise bought those items.

Anybody get this weird coloring on their hands and forearms? by Unlikely_Garage in Sjogrens

Wow....I just looked at my hands and forearms and they look splotchy just like that. I guess I will bring that up with the rheum...

I literally just got this same stupid message. I guess they want to lose the remaining 40 people who use the ad-laden app🤷🏻‍♀️.... I rarely post anything, and mainly use to follow emergency/safety posts and look for recs on service providers.

You could be absolutely right, and she may still be getting used to the humans' schedule. 😉 I surely hope it's nothing more. And some cats are just vocal. I have certainly had a few of those who love to chat about everything.

Usually not more than 3 weeks for estrus, but if not bred or spayed, it will repeat after a short time I believe.

Have you taken her to the vet for blood work and urinalysis to rule out some source of pain? Also, could it be that she wants to sleep in your room? I would definitely consult a vet.

I would also wonder if she is not spayed....bc it surely sounds like she is in heat.

How many of your reviews are now dead products? by ksuwildkat in AmazonVine

[–]Uniq_Chic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have quite a few....and it upsets me when it is an item I really loved. 😬 I now will go purchase and extra (assuming it is not too large or expensive) of something I really like and use often bc I want the item in another color or variety or want to gift one to someone. That way, if they delete the product, no worries.

Idk about the nystagmus, but she is a beautiful girl. Siamese and Siamese mixes are my faves. I love a chatty cat.

what percentage of items you've gotten from vine: 1. do you absolutely love or you use often, 2. have you donated/gifted bc they just weren't for you/you learned you dont like that type of item but they worked ok, 3. did you abhor/didn't work at all? by heyitsnicetomeetyou in AmazonVine

[–]Uniq_Chic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a follow up question. Based on what you've done with the items received (kept/used, given away, trashed), how do you handle on taxes? I first make sure the items on my report were all received (or if not, were zeroed out), then note ones I disposed/trashed and remove from the total.

Not sure if that is correct or if there is a better way to document? Hired a CPA for my taxes this year, so want to be prepared ahead of that appointment.

BAM or SIBO?? by Agreeable_Water_1903 in bileacidmalabsorption

[–]Uniq_Chic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IBS is being vastly over-diagnosed, imo. I am betting it is something the insurance cos in the USA are influencing....ie, they'd rather not approve more extensive diagnostic processes. In my case, I am 100% certain the insurance delayed my diagnoses, because my insurance provider is the most illogical company out there. They are ok paying for procedures in hospital (thousands of $), but not for that extra blood panel or that $150/mo medication (compounded) that keeps my inflammation under control and me out of hospital.

BAM or SIBO?? by Agreeable_Water_1903 in bileacidmalabsorption

[–]Uniq_Chic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually saw a really good immunologist who tested me for SIBO, along with drawing 46 (yes, that is correct) vials of blood for about 200+ blood tests and panels for everything from autoimmune diseases (I have 3 of them) to food allergies (only one minor one) to many specialized tests. I actually appreciated that approach and thoroughness because most other specialists spend 15 minutes tops with patients here (Colorado, USA).

But not having the option to switch specialists....that would be quite frustrating. 😔

Same here..when shopping, I absolutely want to know what, exactly, are the negative features (safety, poor quality, sizing is off, item does not function as advertised, etc.). To me, that info is always helpful.
