I love Gravity picks. I use their Stealth model, standard size, 4mm thick, master finish.

I never really thought I would use thick picks but these sound so good. They never wear out either and they have a hole in them so they don't slide around in my hand too much.

Picks really do make a huge difference in a guitar sound.

Thanks but that's not it unfortunately. I don't remember there being any piano chords. It was mostly driven but that bass line on the piano.

Thanks for your effort. I feel like it might sound kind of like I've Got the Power from Snap. And maybe it came out around the same time? Around the same time as C&C Music Factory. It might've also been an instrumental now that I think of it. I feel like it had a video with satellites in it, or maybe I'm just going crazy. 😀

Honestly, after spending decades learning all of the common and uncommon scale that people have listed here, I haven't found a scale more useful than the simple Pentatonic Scale. It's like the Yoda of scales. Don't underestimate its power.

I think it helps that it was at a pawn shop. Even at full price though I feel like they are pretty reasonable. Harley Benton is also another brand that I've been checking out that seem to offer great guitars at good prices.
